What's wrong with happy endings? I love happy endings, especially in romance stories....not everything has to be happy endings but this is a good thing (especially considerings all the bad stuff happening in the beginning). For unhappy endings, there are plenty in reality but this is suppose to be an escape from that/enjoyment. I like the way the story is going.

As for the story, I don't think Annelle and Sinclaire are really sisters, more like cousins. Because if Amanda was Sinclaire's mother (which I believe) and she died 2 months after she was born, then she couldn't be Annelle's mother. Which would explain how unattached she is to Sinclaire and finding new info, and how closly she and Mel are because she must be Mel's daughter. Now this Angel Foster could be Sinclaire's older sister. OMG and Dwight could've helped Mel get out of a financial jam by setting up the deposits for her after the law offices burnt down so that Gideon couldn't track her or something like that. So Gideon wouldn't really have a clue where Sinclaire was but that still wouldn't explain this Angel Foster.

First of all, sorry for logging in under Anonymous, Sylvia. You know how I like to stand by what I say. However Cinquetta's post got me so pumped up that I couldn't wait the extra few seconds to sign in properly.

With that said, I want to point out that I, too, expect a happy ending from all of your stories. In fact, HEA (happily ever afters) is the cornerstone in all Romance Writing. When you take that away, it becomes something else (can't think of the specific genre right now 'cause I'm too hyped, but when I do you'll be the first to know).

Anyway, I commend you for listening to all of your readers, Sylvia, and for being brave enough to try new things, but PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Meaning keep what works in your books and get rid of what doesn't.

Seeing your characters finally get some happiness with each other works for me. Especially after all the 'hell' you take them through to get there.

Now if you still decide to remove the HEA in Sin's Iniquity, I won't be mad...disappointed, but not mad. Hey, I recently wrote a Sci/Fi and it's completely different from all the other books I've done before. Who knows, Sin's Iniquity might be the one that puts you at the top of the bestseller lists.

As for being predictable, that is not necessarily a bad thing. It can actually be a good thing. As someone who has read most all your books (the ones I paid for and the freebies), I can give you specifics on how your predictably has been a valued asset for me.

For instance, I hunt down a Sylvia Hubbard book whenever:
1. I'm in the mood for MODERN-DAY SUSPENSE.
2. I want to see downtrodden men and women become OVERCOMERS.
3. I want to read STEAMY SEX SCENES that are realistic in nature. (Meaning things that 2 regular people might actually do in real life. Not that shape-twister stuff that only athletics and gymnasts can do.)

I could say more, but the hot air is rapidly leaking out of my balloon, so I guess I will stop now. lol. But I think you get my point.

Stay strong, Sylvia.

Hello Sylvia,

I've just been catching up on this new story, yeah I know i should have connected sooner, but had too much to do and so little time...
As you the story is already fantastic and I can't wait to know what's going to happened next.
Also trying to guess what's is yet to come, even if I already know that when it comes to your stories it's not that easy to figure out what will be the next move, but anyway still and always enjoying it.

I've seen your posting about Stealing innocence : Lethal story, I can't wait for it to be available.

Keep up the good work and, again, thanks for giving so much pleasure to read.
