Did some of you forget Carne's original purpose for being in Davenport?
Now I know the story moved real slow and momentum didn't start to build till a raped her, LOL, but I know for sure I rarely forget something a plot and that was one of the first changes that I made to this story when I reworked it as I was typing.
( I keep a mental checklist, so if y'all see I'm forgetting a plot, please check me on it.)
So yes, Carne was originally a merc sent to spy on Robert and kill him, but he decided to keep the money and start his own operation up in Detroit.
Now I let you continue to the story!
I should post the last of chapter 24 in a moment.
