Literary Blogspot Book Spotlight Policy For Authors/Publishers

At Sylvia's Literary Blogspot, we not only talk about things that are happening in Sylvia's Literary World for her readers, but also feature other interesting authors.

Submission Policy:

Adult Romance & Erotic recent books that are listed on Amazon are preferable. If the author has a free read only available on their site, we can feature that as well.

I do ask if you do not have your own interview questions set up, that fill out the following interview questions and send them to sylviahubbard@gmail.com with Request for Spotlight on SylLit Blogspot in the subject line.

1. First answer the following questions and email the questions and answers to sylviahubbard@gmail.com (Please answer a minimum of twenty of the questions listed).
Where are you from?
Tell us your latest news?
When and why did you begin writing?
When did you first consider yourself a writer?
What inspired you to write your first book?
Do you have a specific writing style?
How did you come up with the title?
Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
How much of the book is realistic?
Are experiences based on someone you know, or events in your own life?
What books have most influenced your life most?
If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
What book are you reading now?
Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
What are your current projects?
Name one entity that you feel supported you outside of family members.
Do you see writing as a career?
If you had to do it all over again, would you change anything in your latest book?
Do you recall how your interest in writing originated?
Can you share a little of your current work with us?
Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?
Who is your favorite author and what is it that really strikes you about their work?
Do you have to travel much concerning your book(s)?
Who designed the covers?
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
Do you have any advice for other writers?
Do you have anything specific that you want to say to your readers?

2. In the email with the questions, please send the following information:
  • Name of Author (required)
  • Name of Book & 100 word synopsis (required)
  • Author Website (required)
  • Amazon Link (required) – to author’s page or book
  • Facebook Link (required)
  • Twitter Link (optional)
  • Video URL (optional)
  • Excerpt of Book URL (optional) – set this as a pdf or blog post.

Spotlights are featured at least twice a week at least two days apart from each other. If there are any special keywords you would like us to use in the post, please feel free to include them at the end.

In return for the free feature, we request you send out to your social network at least three times a reminder for your readers about the feature and post to your website about the feature with our button. (Right click on the image below, select "Save Image As...", upload to your site and then link it to your feature. Please make sure you tag @sylviahubbard1 on twitter  and/or use the hashtag #syllit.

Once you email the above information, you will get a confirmation on what date your feature will be and on the date of the feature, you may get your link at that time.


As of January 1, 2012 Sylvia's Literary Blogspot is sent to over 3000 followers on Twitter and 1600 Facebookers. This site receives over 200 to 400 hits per spotlight directly.
