J-Real, author of Draw Part 2

The streets have their way of crowing the next Kingpin. When you combine the history of the hood, the status is delegated accordingly. But it takes a cold heart and ruthlessness make up. There can be no room for love.
How far will loyalty carry? Or is it even necessary? Serious’ rise to power ended with his arrest and five years in the penitentiary. It was there where he found out it was all a lie. Now he wants the truth and he will stop at nothing to get it.
Now a father, a successful club owner and an exile from a dangerous underworld, Serious’ only option is to walk away from everything he’d built and to hand it over to his comrade and original partner, Tipsy.
Tip wants more than Serious is willing to give. When the stakes are high, betrayal is always written in blood. The deeper it gets, the more evident is the truth that loyalty and love play no part in the streets.
All that’s left is vengeance, and the players in this arena are certified killers. In the end, it all comes down to the first to draw will be the last to stand. Draw Part 2 is a thrilling conclusion to the illest cinematic street epic.
Joey Pinkney: Where did you get the inspiration to write Draw Part 2?
J-Real: My inspiration to write the Draw series stem from a lot of reading and my own personal life experiences. I grew up seeing the perspective from both sides of the fence.
I try to give the reader a more thorough depiction of urban fiction without all the glorification of the sex violence and drugs. I’m giving the reader the true life reality living the street life.
JP: What sets Draw Part 2 apart from other books in the same genre?
JR: Just the name Draw sets it apart from other novels. My work is not in a tie (or a “draw”) with other novels in my genre. It is a “draw” of a more realistic approach to Urban Fiction. My storylines will “draw” readers of all genres into our world.
JP: As an author, what are the keys to your success that led to Draw Part 2 getting out to the public?
JR: My keys to success are still made up of determination, ambition and patience, which is a very important virtue. At the end of the day, I will always remain a student in this vast literary world.
I will continue to network and communicate with others because it is imperative to success. They say your just as successful as your last book.
JP: As an author, what is your writing process? How long did it take you to start and finish Draw Part 2?
JR: My writing process always starts off with me scribbling plots, characters and storylines on anything I could write on. I write on napkins, back of receipts, back of business cards – any place that has space for me to write.
Then I formulate my story on my PC. Since I’m often on the road, I keep fresh ideas coming in. Once I have everything together, I turn all my work into a book with a detailed re-write. Good books become great books with a re-write.
JP: What’s next for J-Real?
JR: Besides doing planned events this year, I have more titles I expect to drop like the highly anticipated A Hard Price To Pay. I got Draw Part 3 coming soon. I also a deep drama called Twisted Loyalty. To all my fans: keep following me and I’ll keep the hottest titles coming your way.
