March Books of the Month from AAMBC

Books of the Month

Spritual Seduction & Small Sensations

Davia Maxwell is a street smart, survivor who has clawed her way out of one of Chicago's roughest ghettoes.  A savvy entrepreneur, she is the owner of Small Sensations, one of the largest manufacturers of children's clothing in the nation.  She is strong, intelligent, beautiful and rich, and at age thirty-four, she is also a grandmother. Justin Miles is a successful businessman who happens to be a member of one of the most prominent families in Atlanta. A thirty-four year old grandmother with an uncertain background has never been a part of his world of wealth and privilege.  Yet when he meets Davia, there is nothing that can keep the two of them apart—or so it seems.

Justin's widowed mother, Katherine is the grand dame of Atlanta's Black society.  She vows that she will destroy their relationship no matter what she has to do.  As secrets about Davia are uncovered and truths are revealed will they hold the power to tear Justin and her apart?  Or, will the appearance of a man from Davia's past cost her not only her soul mate, but her life?

Widowed with two small children, Riley Tyson is devastated when her husband
Bradley is murdered. She doesn't miss his fiery temper and heartless philandering,
though. In fact, now that he's dead, their relationship is better than ever. Bradley's
spirit sneaks into her bedroom at night, tempting her with gentle, seductive
caresses and showering her wit! h the attention he never gave her in life. It seems
too crazy to be true. Until he drags her unsuspecting soul into a world so evil even
Lucifer won't go near it. . . .

Enter Malik Davenport, Riley's boss and longtime friend. At six foot seven, with smooth, almond-colored skin and vibrant blue eyes, Malik rarely goes unnoticed. An ancient warrior prince who specializes in slaying demons, he's the only man who can save Riley's life—and the only one whose passionate touch unleashes the sexy vixen inside her.

As Bradley's ruthless spirit orchestrates a deadly power surge against the living, Malik and his team of paladins prepare for a war of the worlds that has been brewing for ages. If they win, Malik and Riley can be together forever, but if they lose,
the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.

What was the pastor of New Day Temple of Faith thinking when approving the creation of the New Day Singles Ministry? Better yet, what were its members thinking when they joined?

Doreen, lovingly known as the Church Mother of New Day, thought that when she presented the idea of the ministry to the pastor, it could serve as a foundation to empower, encourage, and enlighten the church's single members. But when only women join and Doreen learns that all these women want only one thing out of the ministry—help in finding a man—her mission goes astray.

She Who Finds a Husband is what you get when you combine some Divine, some Independent, some Virtuous, some Animated, and some Stoic personalities all in one setting—DIVAS! Dig into this soap opera in print as the women of New Day Temple of Faith Singles Ministry set flight to include men in their future, not realizing that the past is what's keeping them bound.

RAWSISTAZ.com E-Books & E-Book Reading Challenge

Happy Read An E-Book Week!

We kicked things off with an interview with the founder of Read An E-Book Week, Rita Y. Toews earlier in the week, celebrated e-books on the Michigan Writers Network Show last night, and have been hearing from members regarding all the great finds around the internet.

For Read An E-Book Week, we put the call out and received quite a few responses from African-American Authors.  So, they've offered the books below (for a limited time) FREE OF CHARGE here on our site in honor of Read an E-Book Week and to help us kick off of our 8 Week E-Book Reading Challenge.

The authors will be joining us in the upcoming weeks for our popular Black Book Chats, so stay tuned for the official schedule.  *My apologies for the delay, but as a result of our email outages over the last week or so, we had to schedule posting the downloads later than initially planned.*

Note: By registering and downloading these e-books, you are acknowledging that you understand the books should not be sold, distributed or be posted elsewhere.
