Author's Notes 02/14/08
Good moanin Readers
Here's the comments from yesterday and I'm off to writing off the top of my head again.
There are no more notes in my book that I can cheat off. I've run my course on things to research and now my back is against the wall and I must produce.
So make sure I close the doors to all the can of worms I opened. I won't rush it (per Carmel Beauty) and I'll try to do a good beat down on the people you want. LOL.
Might throw yet another love scene here and there. I'm feeling kinda kinkie

Tori: Actually Lynx has his love interest already. I just have to find a way to get Tanae back in the story with him. Yes, King is gay, but that's the challenge I'll have to deal with. I think I'm doing pretty good. I've done a virgin thirty three year old man, a aphenephobia woman and now I'm going to attempt to straighten out a gay man. (I say try) although can anyone guess which story I attempted this feat in last?
Eva: I think in a way we all do this. When the S.H.T.F. and love is in our face we tend to run away from it and go for the bad instead of the good. it's almost human nature and I guess I'm trying to be as believable as possible. But since you've already think you can predict that about me, I guess I'm going to make sure I screw with you this time.
Ps. thanks for liking sex weed so much. I'm going to go back and re-read that.
Inside my head though, I really imagined that whole book turning out different than what it did and I'm going to have to find three new characters to fit that story line to.

Just a reminder that we got a lot of doors to still close and I got a lot of work to do.
Cracking the knuckles and worrying about when the arthritis will be kicking in for doing that.

Tanya: You got it! It was a blade. I'm frustated as well by Nevada's limitless. (that's not a word.)
anonymous: that's the big question. why would parker want to hide a child that he desperately wanted. I never said Parker was going to be the good guy in this whole thing and we tend to love someone so much that we lose sight that he's not guilty of his own sins.
And I don't know on the dark facade.
taa2s: Yeah, I knew it was coming but I was so unprepared to drop that bomb there. I had really imagined this confession in a room, but I said what the hell lets do some sex in the car and then drop a bomb where she can't run away.
cinquetta: honey, i hate to say this again but Derrick's already got his love interest so he won't be Nevada's. Sorry. Lynx's story will intertwine with King's Paradise. I know this is a bomb. but you know i love to drop those all the time. and yes, that's why Onyx told him to take care of business before she had to take care of him.

Tia: I hate to say this but I'm glad I messed up your day with my imagination. I do love to discombobulate people and I think i do a durn good job (hence no close friends and a beau that thinks I'm looney than a bird.)

Tori: That's a very good question. What makes her so different. I think Parker's seeing that she's cut from a different clothe (hence that's why I keep saying it) and that there's no chance in hell he could ever compare her to her sister, although that will be tested soon. IT's so easy to believe the little bad about the person even though they have a lot of good. You're right about the knife. I like that mysterious side of Nevada and her insight to men is hilarious.

Chapter 38
It wouldn't be fair of me to not complete the lovemaking scene between them so put up with it one more time before i get going on something else, but I inserted about almost the rest of this chapter.
Welcome the new people in Raleigh. I got readers all the way back in chapter 17 who are catchin up with us and then there's some in Texas who just started in Chapter 4 and 5.
Also if you're new and don't know much about Mandingo Heart, he's more or less a back person and you can read more about him in Sin's Iniquity. He had a tendency to get lost so that's a clue for you who will die when I do what I do in later chapters.
Also I think I mention Del Heart in this entry too or maybe the next entry. If you don't know about him, he's in Tanner's Devil.
Oh yeah, if anyone can help me, I can't think of Devlin's god-father in Tanner's Devil. If you guys could get the name and post it in this comment I'd appreciate it.
Otherwise I'll be pausing a while in the posts to find it.
Trying to think about bringing Tanner and Devil around. I kinda missed them and Devlin was just too handsome, but I might be overwhelming people about now, but I will utilize the hotel Devlin owns near Niagra Falls. Don't feel like making up a new place.
I still get hot over that counter scene.

Chapter 35.2
Before we go into this part (which is kinda short) I thought I'd comment on yesterday andsome other stuff.
(hold on.... I'm getting in the mood).....
Eva: you can comment as much as you want. I don't mind. I love it and the people reading behind us is enjoying it as well.
lilo.gurl.14 : I'll do my best to make the ending as surprising as possible and do justice like I've done in other stories. I guess it'd be hard to explain how I keep turning left when everyone goes right.
eva d: that was pretty deep gurl on the Charisse greed thing. thanks for the aspect. be as intellectual as you would like. I'm lovin it! Charisse is 28 and everyone else is five years older than she.
beeutee: guess that's why the readers say i'm queen of cliffhangers.
tori:yeah, he shouldhave asked that then, but he was upset. don't you hate those arguements that you get so upset you don't ask everything you need to and then look like an idiot when you see them again and ask a stupid question.
paula: yes, this rolled off the top of my head. I'm loving parker too. I'll try to not let Nevada be a bad person.

BTW, someone in the past comments did guess who Nevada is going to hook up and I'm so impressed you got it. ONLY ONE PERSON GUESS RIGHT, so that's kind of a good thing that it was a little unexpected. And whoever guess Dalton was way off. Dalton would eat her alive and spit her out for breakfast, LOL. He's got to have a woman who's going to be able to break down his cold exterior - although I'm still trying to find where his warm interior is. He doesn't have much in the department of being nice at all. (He's worse than Lethal if you ask me, but that's getting ahead of myself, aren't i).
From my email bag, someone asked me how I came up with my love scenes. How i made them good and if they replicated real stuff (they were referring to scenes from Mistaken Identity).
Actually I wrote that on a analytical level and then added the passion on the self-edit pass. Those were really difficult love scenes to figure out. Now with two people sex and making it different every time (which is almost every romance writer fear) I just throw character into the love scenes which doesn't make cookie cutter love scenes. Now as to how I get in the mood for love when I got someone in my ear talking about coming out to pick up their dead dog or getting their BUS card cause their a senior. (I work for the 311 department in Detroit).
so to get in the mood since my job won't let me light the candles and look at half naked pictures of Fabio on my computer (LMAO) I resort to my ZUNE and Brian McNight.
(But Tank's been a big inspiration too, lately).
For this love scene though, I thought you'd like to know, I'm listening to repeated Brian McNight sing, FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Author Note's 2/14/08
First and foremost, Happy Valentine's.
Of course, I'm not having one.
I waited two hours for a durn bus and i'm so exhausted and still cold it ain't funny.
So I've had no coffee, Aunt Dottie's doing a new one on me and I haven't written a word since yesterday's post.
so when i say you're getting it live, i ain't playing. From my head to paper today folks without any forethought.
Stay on your toes and check me if I make a mistake, especially with names.
Umm, that's bout it off the top of my head.
I made notes to all the comments and so forth below.
I know my old readers get antsy about this time because live stories have a lot of ways to end on this blog. If you're new to Sylvia Hubbard's world then i give myself 3 options to end a story:
1) After Chapter 35 or so, I stop the story, take a week off and then post everything on my http://lulu.com/sylviahubbard for a dollar. (That depends on the donations. If you've made donations while the story was going on, you usually will get the entire story before anyone else.)
2) I don't finish. Dark Facade is the only one I haven't completed. Actually I did complete it then the hard drive got lost, then I found it, finished it again with a new ending and then it got corrupted and now I'm slowly finding all the paperwork to start the ending over again and hope to have that done because I have to retype the entire story because the formatting is crappy and won't erase lines whenever I have copies and pasted it. Most likely I'll finish this one.
3) I finish the story al lthe way to the end on the blog free. I.E. : Mistaken Identity. But it's only after I get mad donations or I'm in a really good mood because my readers have help generated more booksales by telling others about my books. (I can tell when someone's talked me up because my book sales will increase like crazy.)
I'm still thinking of what to do, so by Chapter 35 you'll know.
BTW, we've hit the 100,000 mark and the story is still interesting. At this point, writers are usually wrapping it up. 100K means you've got yourself a good novel (ABout 250 in a 6x9 book). The lastbig story was Sin's Iniquity and that was a massive rollercoaster heart attack and drained me for five months, LOL.
This one's gearing up for it and then I'm trying to see how my schedule will be for the rest of the year. Since 2005 I've been doing at least three live stories a year, but I'm usually done with the first one by now!

This is in response to all the comments and some for the new readers that have joined us through YahooGroups.
Presently, we have over 500 dedicated readers all over the world subscribed to the story and then there are others who just check the blog on their own which i've determined from the stats have to be about a good 300 to 400 people more.

taa2s: im trying to make it as juicy as possible. i'm still questionable about Nevada but I kinda like her. she's crass but not stupid.
cinquetta: blaque heart is actually a woman and she was in teach me to love as a mercenary. She is king hearts little sister and she and Onyx have bad blood.
tori: nevada is way to beautiful and if you haven't guess what kind of storyline she's going to be in then i ain't telling you. lethal couldn't go for someone that pretty. it wouldn't feed his huge ego.

Ms Vishouz: i'm glad i'm getting my frustration out on Jaelen now because he is an ass. and yes i did have him very good in bed. (sweating just thinking bout that).
Prissy4Lyfe: yes, you are right but you can still read all the stories all over again in order to find out. LOL.
Paula: yes Paradise was Tanner's friend in Tanner's Devil, but she did have friends in high places. (She knows Lethal). I'll try for more damage.
Tori: yeah, i like those kids. If I'm still writing in about fifteen years, Jaenae or Jessica should have a great story line with over protective brothers.
Paula: i like them too. I like making up people you'd love to be around.
Anonymous 2: it's King. Emperor is the one with the sex addiction to the girl he thinks is as young as his daughter.

Suprina: I have to disappoint you, but no Parker isn't tied up somewhere by Cheyenne's hands although that's a good one.

Julia: I love that word culmination and I think I use it too much. I saw it in a porno mag short story where this woman was writing a letter about how she slept with eight guys at one time. I was sickened yet enlightened by the word - seriously and I haven't stopped using it. I'm tryingto desperately find a substitute before i wear it out.
Plus, even if Charisse had taken extra panties, she wouldn't have been able to get them out of her coat since Parker's big azz was laying on it.

Compared to other chapters, 26 is a short one, because 25 is very long and in the final version I'll break it up.
I've realized that I don't do short love scenes a long time ago. (Stealing innocence had a twenty pager) so If you're one of my new readers and wanted a couple of paragraphs then I have to disappoint you.
Hell, I've been making love to parker on this keyboard for the past three hours and i still have about five more pages to go... that is if I can't figure out a way to get him to sleep cause he's been waiting to durn long for this... LOL.
If you're at work, I suggest making the screen font smaller right now before proceeding.
It's a tamed one, but I do go into a lot of detail. I do a lot of tasting and touching if you're a newbie.

My Brain Hurts... Joyfully Reviewed!!
First off, I want to discuss my brain doing over drive yesterday...
In essence, a story is still a story which by definition is a lie.
I don't think of myself as a liar though and in reality I'm so honest with myself and the people around, I have very little close friends who want to be around me for very long.
Yet, as I write whatever my imagination may conjure, I know I have to have justifications to make the story that I've weaved believable.
Hence, the details of the lie which must stick like crazy glue to a fake nail.
Othewise your whole premises of story will fail.
This is the critical time when the author now drives home that this isn't a story any more. This is real and it really has happened.
Or this the time when the reader just says, WTF! And is let down from here on out at the silliness of the whole premise.
We've just passed that point. (There's still a little more to go).
And with succession, I guess I've achieved. Of course that's based on all the comments you've left overnight that I haven't answered, LOL.
So with all of that I've said, my brain is hurting a bit much, because I had to use extra brain cells in order to keep up with everything.
Hence, once I got home from work, I slept for five hours straight, woke up with a migraine and then took two 800 moltrins in a four hour time and then fell right back to sleep and then woke up an hour late and almost missed my bus.
See what a little mental power can do to a person. Which is why a lot of people don't use it because then everyone would be sleeping all the time, LOL.
Today is a good day. No migraines. (I took another 800 moltrin this morning and in about two hours I'm grabbing some Excedrin to keep the pressure away and get me some artificial caffine.)
Need a Vernors. My stomach doesn't feel well. Probably from all those moltrins, but please don't suggest ginger tea. I don't care what you add it's like the ginger sucks the sweetness away. I tried honey, sugar even splenda.
Yuck.
Today, I'm listening to Prince 3121 and Tank and India.Aire, plus a little of Stevie Wonder.

Received an email yesterday that they reviewed my book Tanner's Devil.
WOW!!!
I was shocked amazed and honored.
That's personally one of my favorites and I know what she meant at the end that it wasn't edited good at the end. And that's my fault. I never uploaded the last part so I'll get to that soon.
