research is a SOB!   as i get closer and closer to the bellini series, i have to make sure i have my facts straight.   earlier in the book, i mentions kenneth. If you don't know, he's in another book (right now I can't remember the name) but he's a major cousin in the bellini series.   He married Kelsey Bellini, adopted daughter of Antonio Bellini, who is Dalton's uncle.   anyhoo, in this chapter, when our lovely synthia meets with him, he briefly mentions the accident that changed the Bellini family a long time ago where Mamma Bellini (Dalton's mother) had to be responsible and raise the majority of her nieces and nephews.   You know the accident if you read Stone's Revenge.   If you haven't read it now. I've just loaded that baby on the Kindle at Amazon, so have fun.   You can also pick it up on a pdf or paperback as well.   I go into a lot more detail in The Other Side of Love, which has always been a work in progress (I carry the hand written version of the entire book in my bag).   That's what's taking so durn long.   I had to read that motherscrucher of a story and find out what the hell was going on.   Unfortunately, I love my writing so durn I read the whole durn thing.   I couldn't figure out if it was Taylor's story or Faith's because it's a double hitter love story.   And as a hint to you, in order to understand this one, you have to read Dreams of Reality. I found the brother and you know about one of the other sisters from Emperor's Addiction.   Yeah, complicated, but fun.   So with all that said, I hope to update by the end of the day and give you some more tomorrow.   Also, I mention her security team again and their owner Theopolis Thornton.  And of course you can see more about him in Diary of A...   Funny how things work out and it's all one big circle.   Thank you for your patience.

it's been a rough week for me personally. got a lot of things going on between the ears, offline and online.

it's 430 in the morning and for the fourth morning in a row i wake at 3pm and find it hard to get back to sleep knowing that I need to.

my plans for today are to push the rest of this baby out for you, try to find a ticket to star trek (tickets are selling out fast) and preparing for my workshop 2morrow.

oh-kay, now to this story...

Sable Lit Reviews on Secrets Lies & Family Ties

Received this yesterday and it's "different". Thought I'd share it with you.   Let me know what you think \   Sable Lit Reviews Secrets Lies Family Ties Posted: 28 Apr 2009 06:57 PM PDT With enough scandal to make a soap opera script seem tame, Sylvia Hubbard's Secrets, Lies and Family Tiesis filled with intertwining plot-lines where everyone is related or connected to everyone else if not by blood then by lust and deceit. Lust and love have more in common in this novel than just being comprised of the same number of letters. The lack of deep love throughout this novel made it difficult to become emotionally invested in any of the characters. Real love, in nearly all of its examples were mingled with unhealthy possessive desires and treacherous revenge-seeking. The complications that the heroine, Grae Reed, finds herself in become too fantastic to bear. While she grows strength and courage as the book progresses, her persistent desire for those who deceive her and her constant self image problems make her personal improvements seem momentary.   While the author is a great storyteller and is capable of structuring a complex plot, I found myself recognizing the plot's destination before the story took me there. In the end, I had a hard time seeing some of the characters for who they were. The hero, Ezekiel Chambers who seemed like a black man caught in a white man's body, was definitely sexy but not much of a prize. I came to feel sorry for him. The various parental figures in the story were insufferable. Her engaged best male friend Prince, who was more likable then the rest, seemed conflicted in his effeminate demeanor and his not-so subtle attraction to Grae.   Ezekiel's friends, Dana, Tyrone and Jerome were much worse as they played tricks on Ezekiel and held petty grudges while romping around as a marital ménage a trois.  A lot of the most head-shaking details seem to be weaved in for effect and then explained away as a lie, in an attempt to temper the story's overall seedy tone.   The antics in this novel may make your grateful for a mundane life. first, I'd love to know if you all have facebook.

I was thinking of putting together a reading club there so you all can talk amongst yourselves.

I'm thinking about it, but I'd love to know if there's someone who would also like to run it with me.

I figure I have some wonderful fan, who would like to be apart of starting discussions, letting booksclubs on facebook know about the group and so forth and so on.

It's all still up in the air as I make cut backs to all the sites i have to watch and monitor.

A little bit of sin - Chapter 31.2

I'm really going to town and getting the book together.

If you are a new reader, you should know I'm a 40 chapter gurl.

We're going on 70,000 words

That's five thousand words from a minimum full length novel, folks.

And you're still gripping the pages.

Hey, I'm pretty good.

Y'all make me feel I still got it after twenty books. Wow!

That's pretty awesome.

Btw, this weekend i got a lot of stress off my shoulders.

Answered a lot of emails and got to see my daddy. He's in Michigan now so no more trips to Philly to see him are necessary.

that was taking a lot out of me.

handling business, pleasure and traveling are no joke folks.

Thanks for being patient though.

Oh... as I was saying, I've put together two young adult novels. One is contemporary and the other is acutally sci-fi.

I'm trying to formulate an adult sci-fi but I don't want it to be ridiculous.

And then there's the big Heart reunion.

Gotta lot of writing to do after this one and i'm preparing for it mentally.

Y'all need to start making people buy more of my books so I can sit at home and write more.

Or y'all can donate. Yeah. that'd be nice.
