Okay, someone said they didn't know about what Derrick owes Carne.
Carne feels a debt is owed from Derrick because he in truth lied to the
police saying that Derrick killed by mistake so his sentence wouldn't be severe when in truth - according to Carne - Derrick killed in cold blood. Derrick doesn't remember what happened that night and feels that he either has to go with helping Carne launder the money, or risk having that information leaked to the police and ultimately his father, who he's worked so hard to have make proud of him.
I couldn't remember what chpater that was in but i know i explained it
a little when derrick met up with Carne in the supermarket parking lot.
