A little bit of sin Chapter 26.1

Where has Sylvia Hubbard been?

Busy Writing.

As you know, I've been trying to get my Tanner's Devil edited and then help another author published. One of my author friends was having problems with her typesetting, so i had to figure that out.

Didn't mind although it did keep me away from Colin and Synthia.

They're always on my mind.

Also dealing with something else too.

Someone is selling my unedited books on Amazon. I find that strange that they'd do that and then come back and buy the books from me.

They aren't really stealing or anything, because they are buying and then reselling them at the same price they bought them at or a little bit more.

Anyhow, I'm not going to really say anything about it. If they want to distribute the books they can, but now, I'm going to have to find editors.

Any takers?

Can't afford the large big time, but I know there are some editors in training that would love to take on my projects in exchange for a couple of free books.
  • Sin's Iniquity
  • Drawing The Line
  • His Substitute Wife...My Sister
  • Dreams of Reality
Plus, at the end of this book i'm going to need an editor, so include that name on the list as well.

Please let me know if you're interested by emailing me at: sylviahubbard1atyahoodot.com with the book name in the subject line and I can Email you the manuscript.

Editing the book will include a paperbook copy of the finished edited copy and a disk of five ebooks (your choice in pdf). Plus my undying gratitute and a mention inside of the book on the information page.

Thanks guys.

Also starting next week, we're playing: Tell it Tuesdays. I'm giving away two books to one reader who can get the most referrals. I'm still setting it up on how we're going to do it, but look out for it.

enjoy...

Wow I like Ms. Bartlett. She hit it dead on with Synthia. I am sorry to hear someone is selling your stuff on amazon. That is so wrong and trifling. They need to write their own books and selling their own stuff. I would be piss if someone was doing that to me. You are a good one Sylvia.

I don't agree with Mrs. Bartlett suggest that is good business deal take it Colin. I support Sylvia 100% but someone is buying your books and selling them. I don't see the problem. The person is promoting you as long he or she is not stealing your work. Hey you got to make a honest buck somehow.
Hey Sylvia don't forget to release DARK FACADE & EMPERIOR'S HEART. You mention your other books but what about them. I am still waiting for those books....patiently waiting...very patiently...ever so patiently...you know patiently.

Colin should listen to the voice of reason. Butttttt...he's probably going to listen to his loins instead. lol.

Anyway, I really don't know what to make of someone doing that to you on Amazon, Sylvia. It's not piracy, but it is a little muddy. I personally like clear business dealings, but that's just me.

A better way that person could have handled the issue would be to just team up with you as some type of subsidiary bookseller. He/she could receive certain discounts if they buy from you in bulk and you would have an active ally in helping to spread the word about your books. Win/Win situation. Just something to think about.

As for being one of your editors, I wish I could help out again, but I can't. Got too much on my own plate right now. I do have a suggestion though. And this is just that - a suggestion, so don't nobody start yelling or cussing at me, okay? lol.

Why not SLOW your posting pace down a bit so that you can get in more editing per chapter. I've found that when I edit as I go (the time after writing the chapters and right before posting them):

1. It saves me more time at the end.

2. The book is almost 95% error-free (because you can't ever catch everything) by the end of the story.

3. I only have to do cursory edits before taking the book mainstream. Then I can move on to the next book.

Again, that's just a suggestion, Sylvia. In the end, you have to do what works best for you.
