Drawing the Line - grrrrrrrrrr & my day so far

I tore up my house. Since the fire, everything was displaced.

Drawing the Line is how in some black hole, but sitting in front of me is a printed out version.

Unfortunately, I can't put that up to the screen for you guys to read, so guess what I'm doing on my hiatus?

Yes, retyping this bad boy... grrrrr.

(for all you guys waiting for that special insert, it's coming)

On top of that, when I came out of my house this morning after feeling so good about finishing up Sin's Iniquity.... (You guys totally confused lulu yesterday) .... some durn crack head broke into my car again ... for nothing!!! there was nothing valuable in the car and they were trying to steal a cassette playing radio. Who steals cassette radio's anymore? What an idiot?

Anywhoo, I'm coming down from my writing high. once I get into the story, it becomes a drug. I mean a serious addictive drug that propelled me to write when I didn't feel like writing.

Now that it's over, I'm feeling like you guys, still feening but knowing the dealer is gone.

Oh well, I'm crack open another short story for the anthology my friend Ladonna Tutt is working on. She 's my writing buddy and she runs this organization called, http://toosexyforyou.org. (If you're at work, don't click on that! LMAO.)

I'm going to write this short about a single mother gettign a one timer with this single dad and then of course there's a twist to it.

Author Interuption - Sin's Stupidity and the end of Sin's Iniquity

I've gotten a lot of flack regarding the fact that Sin drunk what her sister gave her.



How could she be so stupid?



How could she allow Annelle to see the baby?




Well, we all hope for something good in people and when it concerns family, we hope for good more than the bad, even though we know there is more bad than good.



I think we hope so much that we end up hurting ourselves.



It's like in Lord of The Rings when Frodo had to carry that ring. He knew the journey was going to be horrible and he knew he probably wouldn't make it back, but even though he had several chances to just give up, he still continued to carry the ring in the hope that maybe the bad things wouldnt' happen.



We all hope for the good. It's human nature. Life wouldn't be much of worth living if we didn't have the hope and sometimes hope can work out for the good.

I dug my heels down and I got this new laptop where I can carry in my purse.





I was everywhere typing on it this weekend and gawd, I cried when... oh I shouldn't tell you, but it was soooo good.



So where is it?



Ummm, I'm going to do something for the people who had been with me EVERY DURN MINUTE!!! LOL



I know as soon as you got into work or got up this morning, you ran over to this website (me) to find out what the hell happened?



So in order to find out what happened to the end of the book, I'm going to upload the entire book until five p.m. EST for free!



No fair downloading it for friends either!

If you're wondering when my next book will start, I plan for May cause I want to take some time off and I'm really not sure which book it'll be. I wanted to start on another brother thing, but now I'm really looking at my next serial killer. Since Stone's Revenge, I've been feening to do another one to get back into the muck of true suspense. Plus, I miss being evil on paper. I'll make the decision by May 1st and then tell you when the first post will be.

Writing a book is just like running a race. You get tired sometimes and there are slow parts here and there. Yeah, I know the story is dragging and I'm procrastinating becasue when you're trying to think of doing things like no one else has done it takes a while.

I ain't Jesus and I just can't snap my fingers and raise people from the dead. Bringing people back to life takes a while. Dwight got shot three times, fell in a freezing ass river and drifted down into the currents. How he survived is a mystery.... if he did.

Reading Dwight's letter was hopeful and depressing for me. I went over it twice and I just... I hate death.

@ paula: I'm serious about the clowns and majician, because I was bored out of my mind last night. The guy whose birthday it was even getting on my nerves and usually he's a nice guy. He was braggert and was trying to impress me with all the money and peoople he knew. Sometimes I really felt like Dalton Bellini when men came over and tried to speak to me I would give them this cold icy stare and then I would speak too intelligently so they couldn't talk to me. I know I'm wrong for that, but good lawd, they were so goofy I didn't care how rich they were. It was like they were only speaking to me to get in my pants.

I wasn't on for the rest of the day yesterday after I posted. I had a friend's birthday party to attend and I noted something about myself...

I don't like to party in Detroit.

I mean that sounds silly and being young I should relish times when I'm able to get out without the kids.

But I'd prefer a good movie and a great dinner because why do I want to spend eight dollars for a virgin ice tea and sitting at a bar all night doing absolutely nothing?

When I lived in Florida, when you went out to bars, you had something to do. You either danced all night and laughed until your stomach cramped or there were activities to do inside the club to keep you entertained.

In Detroit (and this is the fourth time I've gone to clubs in the past eleven in Detroit) all they do is stand/sit around and drink alcohol, talk and then go home. They rarely go club hopping and they have nothing else to do inside the club except there's a dance floor and that's it.

Gawd, I was bored to freaking death and every time I wanted to go home the birthday person was like, stay, Sylvia. Come on and stay. Arrrrrrrrgh!

It was a good thing someone else was buying my ice teas (which I only had two of them). I snuck out after three hours bored to freaking tears and mad that I had missed House on television.

Hell, I'd been happy if they'd hired a clown or a magician, LOL.

In any case, I'm going to try to post again today, but I stayed out past my bedtime and I'm feeling kinda sleepy.

I'll also try to update the book up until Chapter 50 too for complete download.

Today was a better day for the brain. A lot better and I hope this weekend to put some work into the book and end it all. (I wanted this done by Thursday, but it's been a real stressful week.)

The good news is that I will have heat by Monday. I'm so happy about that and the kids can all come home. As tired as they make me, I really miss them, but don't get me wrong, I'll be ready to send them away after a couple of hours.

Still, I like being a family.

I think my only fear about really getting married is that I won't be head of the household. Being a single mother makes you really get protective about your household and when some man steps in and thinks he's the king of the castle, there's times you feel you want to kick his ass out.

Sorry... going on a rant there.

Anyhoo, this week has been a blessing and curse and I don't think at this point I can't go anywhere but up.

I hope you guys have a good weekend and it's the first in a long time that I don't end in a cliffhanger.

Yesterday, I think my brain wasn't feeling anything. It was difficult to right or even want to stay awake. Sometimes when I've gone through a lot of stress, I need a shut down and I did that last night .I didn't even watch Grey's Anatomy last night. I just passed out.

Does anyone know if It was a rerun and if not, don't tell me what happened. i'll go watch it online while you read this.

Okay, here's the scoop. As of right now, Dwight is DEAD. He was shot.

Don't give up hope though... miracles happen on a daily basis. I'm a living testament.

I hope this clears up the confusion and once you read it, please let me know if it has or hasn't.

No we're not done and I have a couple of more chapters to post.

If any of you are familiar with Stone's Revenge I think the happy ending didn't even happen until the very last second right? LOL.

I promise to deliver a good ending, how about that? I can't deliver perfection though.

I'll do my best.

That's how many texts i have received all morning on my cell phone.

Over the weekend I received 27 in all about how upset everyone is about Dwight being dead and (along with certain threats and promises of loving me forever and ever) everyone wants me to someone create a "Lazarus." (bring the dead back to life.)

Monday's are my busy days and as I spent all weekend not working on the book, but being as depressed as you are that Dwight was killed off and really mad at myself for doing it, I now must get to the task this week of finishing off this book. Closing doors and so forth.

In the meantime, I'm busy typing trying to get something up on the board today and knowing I can't give you just a little thing or you're going to email me with "more, more more." I hate to disappoint and I'm going as fast as possible.

So I'mma comin'...

As of this post, we have officially hit 100,000 words.

Now if you're not a novel writer, I don't think you understand what that means, but it's a really great point in the story where you say, boy! I'm writing a novel and when you're still very interested and happy about it, getting to 100,000 words is truly significant.

This also means that I stop the story. Whether it's finished or not, I take the story down and then finish it off in the ebook.

Breathe

I'm not ready to do that yet. I'm still deciding what to do once I get to the end. I'm in limbo.

Not where I don't know what is happening to people, but I'm in limbo on how much I should give you.

And what I want to really do with this story once I finish.

But that's not your problem, you just hope I give you the whole story...

I even got a message with airline times of flights into Detroit from Texas and she said "don't make me use my credit card." which I thought were hilarious.

Hi DSL (u know who you are) : I'm going to be rude and answer your questions online because you asked a lot of the questions I've gotten from others.

Why don't you do traditional publishing?

I had tried traditional publishers , but I received the following disinterested replies to my queries:

"Too Many Characters in a story"

"Too erotic"

"Too many subplots and the reader could get lost."

These frustrating replies were the reason why I threw Stealing innocence up on the web for free back in 2002. (Since then I'm recording over 100,000 downloads before I pulled it off.) And that is the reason why I do this now. If they (traditional publishers) don't like me, I know the readers like me, so I give it to you. Make noise. Scream and hollar. Demand they sign me or you'll never pick up another one of their books, LOL. (I know that won't happen, but that'd be cool). I know I may have too many characters, but would Stealing Innocence be as good as it was without Lethal and Onyx mixing it up? Or would Tanner's Devil be good if I took Richard out the story? NO! I think I challenge the readers and I try to give you characters that you will remember and not have to flip back pages (except Detective Barry Johnson, which I'm surprised people forgot about.)
Do you plan on re-releasing any of your novels.

If I sign with a large publisher, most likely this site along with my lulu site will disappear while all these books will be through a top-notch editor, picked apart and then re-released. I will of course fight for everything and I know Harlequin won't even touch Mistaken Identity unless I pull out the last scene in the book, but you know I won't let that go, LOL.

The Hearts of Detroit? Are they going to make guest appearances in your other stories? (You know us readers love cameos)

In case you're reading this and don't know the Hearts of Detroit books, they are:

Silent Lynx (Lynx Heart)
Baby Doll (Sheriff Heart - younger brother to King - actually)
Red Heart (youngest half-brother of King)
Cabin Fever (Prince Heart - few months older than Red, and full younger brother of King - their father was a rolling stone.)

Sheriff is making an appearance in Drawing the Line and Emporer's Addicition.
Red is making an appearance in Emporer's Heart
Lynx will be making an appearance in the continuation book to Silent Lynx along with Sheriff, Red and Prince.

love drives a person to lose their mind. they don't think about the consequences of their decison and we are driven by love to do the stupidest things. even if it puts that other person's life in jeopardy.

dwight missed her. he missed her more than anything and he feels that his actions wouldn't be "found out."

good morning.

life is getting almost back to normal. since the kids spend so much time at papa's house (my father's house) they have hardly noticed the change. the insurance company is working as fast as possible to get what they can fix asap because I told the guy I was homeless and I needed to be hom, but I'm still going to find me a place to stay. I want my own house and my own room where i can lock the door and just enjoy myself.

I'm so tired of looking at abandoned houses, garbage filled vacant lots, stripped and desolated pieces of urbania, crackheads and weirdos in the alley. I'll move to the good side of town or an up and coming neighborhood where people actually care where they live and what they live around.

So why do I live here? Right now as a single mother though, this is all I can afford and we try our best to make due with what we have.

Anonymous: Thank you for that compliment about my can't beat me attitude. Like i said we single mother's gotta pick our battles with life because we incur so much stress and this is one battle I'm going to let life win because shyte happens and if you can't roll with the bunches then life is going to kick your arse. Right now, I don't wish for pain so I'm going to just lay down and let it win while i devise a way to get back up and keep trudging through the muck.

My rainbow is coming sooner or later and I just have to stay focused. That's what my writing does. It keeps me focused and staid on where I need to go. It keeps me sane and happy and I need that so much right now.
