A little Bit of Sin - The Whole Chapter 13

We are really rolling in this.

I'm overly excited about the fact that you all are enjoying the story.

I've been reading the comments (online and offline) and I'm going to take the time to answer them maybe in my next post.

I'm going to introduce someone soon that old readers should be familiar with (as promised.)

For the new readers, you should know a little bit about Taylor Bellini.

She's in other books. I think one or two and she's not a very nice person. She's good at her job as Eastern Hemisphere CEO of Bellini Enterprises - a real estate company run by a very powerful Hispanic American family out of Chicago.

Now for the old readers you're probably trying to guess the time line in this story.

It's actually right after Armando has come up missing but the whole family hasn't become aware of it yet. (Read road to freedom to find out more about him).

And if you're trying to figure out how I'm keeping up with that story (The Other Side of Love) I don't know how i'm doing it.

LOL.

Yeah, I need some medicine and I'm really starting to believe that old theory someone threw out about the migraines, but with me getting these stories out, i'm really getting over them much quicker.

BTw, my da da might come home soon. Monday or Tuesday. pray. pray pray!!

enjoy...

Her brother was up the stairs in two seconds. She heard his large work Tim’s taking two steps at a time to her, but she couldn’t tear her eyes away from the much needed unpainted door in order to explain to him what had just happened.

He must have heard the loud curse from the Irishman and the earsplitting door slam. She certainly had heard it. Her ears were still piercing from the sound of it all.

“What happened?” Jason demanded to know.

She was speechless. Her tongue was literally frozen in her open mouth, which she couldn’t close. Never in her life had anyone – man, woman or child – treat her with the disrespect, disregard and disgust that this man had done to her.

“What the hell are you doing here?” the Irishman growled on the other side of the door.

“Open the fucking door,” Jason ordered. “She’s not talking to you through a fucking door, asshole!”

Synthia was glad Jason was there, because she wouldn’t have known how to handle this kind of rejection. This had never happened to her EVER!

After a few moments the door slowly opened and he stood there covered in filth, but she couldn’t believe that it was him. He didn’t move out of the way to let them in; he just gave her a cold hard blue look and didn’t look Jason’s way at all. “I said,” he spoke in a calm, but cruel voice. “What are you doing here?”

“That’s not what you said at first,” she said appalled. “You… You curse… at me”

“And I should knock your fucking head off!” Jason threatened.

The man still didn’t look in Jason’s direction, but he took a deep breath and said remorsefully, “I’m sorry, Synthia.”

She took note that he had remembered her name. ‘That has to mean something,’ she tried to convince herself. “And don’t you think you should give me your name since you know mine?”
she furthered argued.

“You found my address. I figured you’d know me name too, Lass.”

Synthia’s eyes brightened because for the first time she was starting to figure out that he picked up the Irish dialect when he became perturbed and right now he was very perturbed. Pursing her lips, to hide the smile, she found herself extremely excited and flushed at this new discovery about him. What else was there to this man? Why was he here?

“Your name wasn’t on the cell phone bill. Just an address,” Jason responded.

He still had not bothered to look at Jason and this gave her a little bit more confidence. His eyes had not left her face once since he’d open the door the second time. She answered his initial question. “I needed to know about you. About why you’re like you are?”

“What the h-“ he stopped himself and cast another apologetic look at her. “Come in,” he growled
and moved from the door to let them in.

She looked over at Jason and shook her head.

“Syn,” Jason warned under his breath.

“It’s okay,” she whispered.

Jason put all his fingers up and then pointed to the ground, to indicate she had ten minutes and he was staying put right outside of the door.

Adjusting her clothes and walking in, she closed the door behind her and looked around the place. It was somewhat clean – old, but clean. It didn’t smell like outside. It smelled more like a carport and … him. She fought the urge again to smile liking the smell of him.

“Are you going to stand there and rub your lips together all day?” he questioned. “Or are you going to tell me in detail why you found the balls to find me again after the horrible way I treated you? Are you a glutton for punishment, woman?”

“No, I’m not,” she said as if he should know this. “I just can’t understand two things. Why you aren’t attracted to me other than physically and my growing attraction to you.”

His demeanor suddenly relaxed toward her and he looked as if he was going to come over to her,
but stopped himself and tightened back up. “You’re only fishing for compliments.”

“What?”

“You’re wasting your time on your quest to sate your curiosity, Synthia,” he warned. “I’m not going to stand here and tell you how beautiful you are when you already know this. Neither am I going to explain my actions and why I feel the way I feel. Sometimes you don’t need to know everything.”

“I don’t profess to be a know it all. But my curiosity is my own weakness.”

Growling again, he said, “You’ve explained this to me.”

“Then you know that I won’t stop until I’m sated.”

“Fuck!” he snarled and turned away from her.

Synthia decided to handle this matter in the only way she knew how. Rough like business. Going up to him, she tried to turn him around to face her, but he was too damn big, so she had to walk around him and face him. “Are you trying not to tell me something?”

“Yes!” he said. “I don’t want to lie to you.”

“You’re being honest?” she asked.

“YES! I really do want you to leave me alone.”

That pain in her chest came again and she was lost yet again for words.

Dammit! Did she have to look like that? Colin sighed and closed his eyes for a moment so he wouldn’t have to see that look on her face. “It’s Colin.”

“What is?” she asked trying to compose herself and look as if his words didn’t hurt her.

“My name.”

“I really think you are out to torture me, Colin,” she said just as prim as she could say bravely looking up in those beautiful blue eyes of his. Even in this dirty condition, it didn’t deter how sexy he was and he probably looked just as good all dirty out of clothes as he did in it. “You push me away and then draw me in by giving me more things about you. You’re the most perplexing, complicated man that I’ve ever met.”

“Then you really don’t know how hard you are to resist because when you say things like you’re attracted to me, I can’t help but to want to choke you.”

“Why?” she asked appalled stepping back for a moment.

“Because you obviously don’t think I am attracted to you.”

“Only physically,” she pointed out. “But then you…” Dammit! Her mind shut down again making her at loss for words again.

“Think what you want, Synthia,” he said nonchalantly. “But it’s better if you don’t think too long about it. I’m pushing you away for a reason.”

“Why?” she asked insistent, still confused.

“Look around woman! I live here! Not in some fancy ass apartment! You’re liking an image. It was my job to not get attached to you and you aren’t making it easy for me to separate or even forget what I did with you.”

Stepping close to him again, she reached up and pulled the zipper down on his overalls not minding the dirt and grime that could get on her. He didn’t stop her as she revealed the undershirt underneath, but he watched as she raised the undershirt and placed both of her perfectly manicured fingers on his stomach.

The muscles on his stomach tensed as Synthia rested her entire palms on his abs and then slowly moved them up remembering how he laid over her bringing her to heaven’s door and
back again.

His nipples had become defined and she rubbed the tip of her thumb over them simultaneously
smiling as they hardened from her touch. Sliding her hand back down, she was tempted to push the coveralls away and feel more of his body. Touching him made her think more clearly about what she wanted to say to him. “I remember a man who made me feel like I was honored. Not just a thing of beauty or an object of lust, but appreciated with his hands and body. I gave into -“

He kissed her long and hard, drawing her firmly against him and Synthia responded with just as much fervor, wanting to taste the sweet male wine of his mouth. His tongue snaked between her lips and she wanted to giggle and scream at the same time because he certainly wanted her too.

It felt as if he were drawing the breath out of her body and she felt lightheaded, but full of so much life.
‘Could a person actually die from just kissing?’ she wondered very briefly, but couldn’t linger long on it as she fully enjoyed the sensations heating her entire body.

“Syn, I said ten minutes,” Jason said outside of the door.

Reluctantly, they broke the kiss. Somehow, he had raised her slightly off the floor and was having no problem holding her. “Who the bloody hell is that annoying lad?”

“My very protective brother.”

“He’s pretty smart to be packing around here.”

“How’d you know he was packing?”

“It’s Detroit, woman. A man’s gotta know things like that.” He said looking toward the back of the apartment, which she had to assume where the bedroom was.

She wanted to giggle knowing he was actually undecided about making love to her or handing her back to her brother.

After another second passed, he set her down on the ground looking very disappointed, but she wasn’t sure if it was at her or himself.

“I think you need to know something about me before your curiosity gets you any deeper,” he said.

Frivolously, she asked, “What could you possibly tell me that could be worse than you being a hooker? We took precautions,” she said knowingly. “And if this is another attempt to push me away, I don’t think it will work. I told you not until you let me satisfy my curiosity.”

Her brother knocked on the door like he was the police demanding entrance.

Impatiently, Colin sneered, “What if I told you I was a racist son of a bitch that went to jail for accessory to murder in killing a black girl?”

Sylvia, you always have the coolest little widgets on your sites. I so love that reaction poll thing-a-ma-jig.

As for this chapter, it's smoking again. Colin is tickling my funny bone for sure right about now. He's trying so hard not to fall for Syn...and it ain't working. LOL!

On the other hand, Syn is going full speed ahead. Not even stopping to think about her actions, just following her libido. The girl is SPRUNG! Tee-hee.

Signing off now...don't forget to answer that question I posed on the other chapter about that continuity issue (Syn having had sex with George or not).

Toodles!

Right about now I don't think Syn really cares. She's not thinking that Colin had anything to do with her BFF getting killed. She is to blinded by the sex. He is feein for this man but when her eyes clear all hell is going to break loose and it's going to cause mess between her and her brother.
